Mexican Tequila Distilleries Do Things the Old Fashioned Way (16 Photos)

Tequila is available in several types or “expressions,” including Blanco (bottled immediately upon distillation), Reposado (aged for at least two months), Añejo (aged for at least a year, but less than three) and Extra Añejo (over-aged). There are a multitude of distilleries and haciendas that produce tequila in and around sunny Jalisco. The distilleries’ methods are similar, yet each has its own distinctive character. They are all rich in history, and worthy of a visit, tour and taste.
